Avifauna 2021 - Present

I have long been fascinated with birds of all sorts, often shouting “HAWK” in excitement when I see a bird of prey in the sky, or singing back to chickadees, and squawking with the crows. From song, to pollination, to pest removal, each bird plays an important role in our ecosystem, and many of them are becoming endangered due to loss of habitat. Given my passion for birds and wildlife preservation, this series of relief prints depicts birds of BC, focusing on birds located in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and Southern BC Coast. They are all hand - printed in very small editions of seven or less, and all prints with colour have been individually painted with watercolour. With that in mind, slight variations occur and purchased prints may vary from the photographed images shown in this website.

This series started in 2021 and is on-going. After 3 years, I still feel like I have barely scratched the surface representing the birds of British Columbia.
